Dr. Oli Hinton attended the Defence Sixth Form College Welbeck on a dental scholarship and subsequently qualified from Newcastle University Dental School. He joined the Royal Air Force in 2010 and was awarded Cadet’s Cadet by his peers at RAF College Cranwell during officer training and has since led a number of dental teams in Lincoln, Bedfordshire, Suffolk, the Falkland Islands and the West Midlands as Senior Dental Officer. 

 

Oli is a general dental practitioner, meaning he offers a wide range of treatments to his patients, and has a particular interest in restorative dentistry such as the prevention and management of oral diseases including gum disease, root canal treatment, Invisalign, teeth whitening and restoration of the aesthetics and function of teeth. 

 

He completed further exams with the Royal College of Surgeons and has since completed further post graduate training, achieving a distinction in the Restorative Dentistry Masters programme at Birmingham University Dental School where he was awarded the prize of the Most Outstanding Student and as a result was invited back as part of the faculty where he now holds the post of Clinical Dental Tutor and Examiner.

 

Oli is passionate about dentistry and is an active part of the dental community having been the Secretary and Chairman of the local Central Birmingham British Dental Association (BDA) Section as well as a committee member of the BDA Central Counties Branch.  In his spare time, Oli enjoys cooking, travelling, playing and watching football, golf and going to the gym.
